Hey, LinkedIn, can we please be best friends?

Published 11 months agoΒ β€’Β 3 min read

πŸ‘‹πŸ» Hi friends,

So here is the deal. Following the advice of my business coach, I’m going all in on LinkedIn. I’m flipping the script. In the past, I used to post threads on Twitter and then repurpose them on LinkedIn, and all I heard was crickets and more crickets.

Now, I will make LinkedIn my main platform and then repurpose the content on other formats like Twitter, Instagram reels, etc. When it comes to better use of my limited time, I think LinkedIn offers a higher ROI. I have already got a lot of leads and paying clients through LinkedIn even before going all in.

Here is the strategy I’m applying to increase my LinkedIn followers and convert them into leads:

🎯 Post daily long-form high-value content focusing on the storytelling journey and monetizing my writing skills.

🎯 Use images when needed.

🎯 Post a visually-appealing carousel once a week.

🎯 Engage with big accounts for at least 30 minutes a day.

What else? Any more tips?

Are you on LinkedIn? Join my LinkedIn party here.

And as always,

Keep the spark!

🀩 Things that wowed me

βš’οΈ Tool: I'm loving the mind-blowing AI tool vidyo.ai. It converts all of my YouTube videos and raw clips into compelling shorts for social media. This is a game-changer. Down the line, it might replace your video editor. (No, this is not an affiliate link).

🧡 Essay: I enjoyed reading Ryan Holiday's essay 31 Lessons I've Learned About Money." Holidays argues that money is a tool, not an end in itself. It can be used to achieve great things, but it is essential to remember that it is not the only thing that matters in life. Holiday also emphasizes the importance of investing in growing your money. Overall, a good read.

πŸ“œ YouTube: If you want to make income from writing on Medium, then you better check out this video, How I Cracked the Passive Income Code on Medium ($6,000 from ONE article!). Frankie Calkins shares his experience of earning $6,665 from one viral article on Medium and provides five strategies for achieving similar success, along with additional observations on maximizing revenue and engagement.

πŸ“š Freelance journey: Check out how freelance content marketing writer Jennifer Gregory earned almost $18,000 in March by focusing on quality over quantity.

✍🏻 Quote: I love this quote by Napoleon Hill in his book Think and Grow Rich

"Both poverty and riches are the offspring of thought."

Many of you here know I write for a living- a dream job, to say the least. I have been doing it as a full-time job for over three years now, and I must say that the rewards outweigh all the stress and obstacles that come along the way. My income is divided between client work, commissioned articles, ghostwriting products, coaching, and teaching. It took me over three years to understand the business side of things, and I'm still learning and growing, and enjoying every second along the way....

It has been a grueling few weeks as I juggled two huge personal projects in addition to all my clients' work. The first one, which I launched over the weekend, is my self-paced ghostwriting mini-course titled "How to make income from ghostwriting." I launched this course on Kajabi, and I had a lot to learn about how the platform works and how best to use all of its features. The Kajabi team was amazing in onboarding me and provided me with four free one-on-one consulting sessions, which was...
